I like to use a variety of humor styles, playing the characters off each other as they try, endlessly, to one-up each other. To sum up, it’s just a bunch of ducks trying to get over on each other. I also try to make social comments through the scenes that are presented, exposing the ridiculousness and hypocrisy of today’s mores and traditions. I do this with a light humor style so as to gently jibe the parties being poked fun at. There are more than an average amount of characters, but as the title suggests, “Duck Pound” is a setting for all kinds of ducks “stuck” in the present order of things. The strip is full of allegories between nature and human society. These multi-faceted allegories are the driving force behind the universe of “Duck Pound.”
